Tracey Milford has been at CDS for a year.

STAFF PROFILE

TRACEY MILFORD, 34, CDS Support Worker

Time in role – 1 year with CDS and 6 years in the industry.

What do you like the most about CDS and your role? I love the people – clients and staff. There’s a variety of personalities and always something different to do.

Why are you working in this industry? I find it extremely satisfying and rewarding. I am privileged to work with our clients and always learning from them.

What is the greatest myth in this industry? That we can’t communicate with people with disabilities which is not true. Many have the capacity to communicate in a number of diverse ways and techniques. They are all equal.

If you weren’t in this industry what would you be doing? I would work in childcare or as a vet nurse.

If you were CEO for a day what would you change? I’d include pet therapy days!
