Cooper - Christmas 2017
Cooper - Christmas 2017

MOURNERS from far and wide gathered last Friday October 12 in Parkes to lay to rest local favourite Cooper Thomson.

Cooper, who was only 21, was an extremely well-liked and popular member of the community. Whether it was friends and staff at Currajong Disability Services in Parkes, his buddies from Parkes Golf Club or the broader community – Cooper’s infectious personality and cheekiness were legendary. Where ever he went he left his mark on everyone like very few could.

A Cronulla Sharks tragic, Cooper spent his life living it to the fullest and defying popular convention.

He was told he wouldn’t walk, so he walked at age 5. He was told he couldn’t do many things but he did them anyway. He was one of a kind and his adventurous spirit, sense of humour and warmth will be sorely missed.

Some people come into our lives and quietly go. Others come, stay awhile, leave footprints in our hearts and we are never the same again.

RIP Coop – we will miss you mate and we love you more than you’ll know.

From everyone at Currajong Disability Services – thank you for letting us into your life and condolences to the Thomson family during this difficult time.
