SUE Balemans retired last week after a stellar 21 and a half year career with Currajong Disability Services.
Sue, who has seen some significant changes in the industry since her first shift in the late 1990s, leaves to retire with her family in of all places, Kurrajong, in the Blue Mountains.
“I am really looking forward to it and have had a lot of fun at CDS over the past 20 years,” she said.
“I have made some tremendous friends in my time here.
“I am going to miss everyone and am extremely flattered by all the effort to acknowledge my retirement – thank you!”
Sue started with Currajong just over 21 years ago, making her one of only two staff members to have served over 20 years.
“It has been a big part of my life and I am grateful for all the experiences I have had,” she said.
“Many have become like family to me – especially some of the clients I have become close to over the years.
“I will keep in touch with Currajong and touch base to see how you all are – no doubt about it!”
All the best Sue and we hope to see you again next time you’re in town for a visit!
