PARKES Services Club has again kindly donated $5000 for the second year in a row to Currajong Disability Services.

The donation, will assist Currajong with transport costs.

For Parkes Services Club President Terry Knowles, the donation is inline with the objectives of Parkes Services and their policy towards helping charities and local sports groups.

“We are extremely pleased to assist Currajong anyway we can,” Mr. Knowles said.

“They fulfill such an important role in the community and that can’t be understated.

“We have a great relationship with Currajong and look to continue our support into the future,” he said.

For Currajong Disability Services, the donation is extremely helpful given the rising fuel costs and demand on transport for CDS clients to attend appointments.

“We are extremely grateful for the continued support from Parkes Services Club,” said Currajong CEO Jeff Evans.

“It can’t be stressed enough how important donations like these are for organisations like ours.

“It will make things just that little bit easier for us,” he said.

With specialist appointments sometimes over an hour away, the donation will certainly be put to good use.

“A big thank you to Parkes Services Club for their support,” said Jeff.

“It will make a massive difference.”
