At Currajong we help you to learn new things, experience new things, develop skills, make friends, have a good time, and be part of the local community.
- We offer individual and group support.
- Our community programs provide a range of support, training and recreational activities during the day. We recognise that people with a disability have the same rights as anyone else within the community.
- We have two homes that provide 24 hour support 7 days per week. Residents are supported to make informed choices and decisions around all areas of their lives.
- We also offer flexible support where a person may be cared for at our two Respite houses or in the community.
Supported and assisted living
We have a range of shared living options which provide a safe environment to call home where our professional staff actively support you to build your skills and independence and make informed choices and decisions around all areas of your life.
We offer personalised Individual Accommodation and Drop-In-Support which assists people manage the move to a more independent living environment. Support is tailored to meet your individual needs. Staff provide active support across a range of areas such as decision-making, managing change, health and well-being, budgeting as well as act as an additional support network. Support is flexible and customised to suit your individual and learning needs.
Work skills and community programs
Our community programs provide a range of supports, training and recreational activities during the day with a view to encouraging skill development, work readiness, social interaction, community participation and independence. We recognise that people with disability have the same rights as anyone else to develop community networks and meaningful relationships.
Transition To Work
We offer a combined work skills and hands-on work experience program involving access to a range of Currajong work programs and community business work trials as part of your individually tailored program. We will work with you to develop your career goals and support you to achieve them. Once your work skills program is completed we can link you with further education or a Disability Employment Service to help you find a job.
Community Engagement
We provide a range of social and life-skills programs that promote a healthy and active lifestyle, social connection, independence and choice. Activities and supports are designed to suit individual needs and facilitate to community inclusion.
You may prefer to access individualised supports that are tailored to meet your individual needs. Individualised support operates from community settings and are designed just for you. For those who may need more support and enjoy the company of others we offer small group activities at our centres or in the community. It’s up to you.
Short term Respite
Our flexible respite service offers short term breaks for Carers from their usual caring role. We are able to offer community group activities and short stays at our Respite House. Our short stay breaks offer social and recreational activities for adults with a disability. We also offer individualised supports.
Support Coordination
Currajong will work with you to achieve the outcomes that are important to you. We will stay in touch with you to ensure you are receiving the service that best meets your individual needs and that you are happy with the service you are receiving.
Managing your own funding package
Currajong can assist with individual planning, provide services, coordinate payments, coordinate a range of support services or make payments to service providers of your choice for those people who choose to self-manage their own funding package. These supports are provided on a fee-for-service basis.
